How can I vote ????.....

To vote is the fundamental human right of an citizen of that country. For a democratic country like India, the right to vote is considered among the top priority of rights. In old days, due to the fear of certain landlords or lack of literacy, the rate of voting was considerably low. But now the situation have been changed.People understand the value of vote and they don't fear to rush into the polling booth to do their fundamental rights. In the recent elections the voting rate was among the 50-60% mark. Its really good to see. and now the government is planning to provide voting facilities for the NRI people, so they also can make use of their rights.
But what about the people who are staying in India itself, but in different states. Let me drag your attention towards those people. These people came far away from their home to have a bright future. Some are students, Some are Workers, some came along with their families. In India, since majority of young generation works in IT sector.its better to talk about them because me too belong to that category. In the IT hub like Bangalore or Hyderabad, people all over India is working. Recently i asked a few about the election which is going to happen in few states like TamilNadu, West Bengal and Kerala within 3-4 months. Everyone i asked was pointing the same,"why should we think about them when we are not able to make our vote". Well I'm not going to discuss the mentality of the people here towards politics, which i plan to be done later. Now what they ask is true. Most of the people takes more than a night journey to reach their native. No company is going to give leave on the election date. Even if they give no one will be going to their native for one day spending so much money, to just make the vote. These are the educated people, who can recognize to whom they should vote for the development of their region
Now when government is trying to pass the bill for the NRI people to vote, they should do something for us also . Apart from declaring the election date as holiday, something else can be done. There are two suggestion which came into my mind. First one is to provide vote for these people in the region where they live. Now you can ask that is already possible. Well how can some one make a change their voter id, when they even are not certain that during the election time they will be staying at the same place. And making such frequent changes is not possible as it may lead to bogus voting and impersonation. Its better to include this kind of change in UIDAI/AADHAAR, so voting can be done for the present residential province. But  you must know who is the eligible candidate over that region. Second one, to provide online voting system. With that we can make our vote of our own province.I just told what all came into my mind. Within the third election from now, my name will be strike off from the voters list. Then how can I vote???

What's This........???

Many of the people ask this question after hearing the Indian  2011 World Cup Squad announced yesterday. It's the top news in every newspaper published. How could Srikanth and the selection board pick such a team for the world cup that to when hosted by us and Team India being the top favorites of the tournament? Or this is what you call 'Over Confidence'? Flat tracks in India is gonna support batting, that everyone knows. But how much huge may be the score, to defend that total we need a better bowling section which is really lacking in this squad. Four seamers and three spinners is the usual combination while selecting a squad for home matches. But just check out who all got into this.
Zaheer, Praveen Kumar, Munaf and Nehra are selected seamers. Its certain that Zaheer and Praveen Kumar is going to make the playing eleven. But check the situation when we need a third one, Munaf or Nehra. How pathetic situation is that. Any one who check the previous one or two year performance of these two can easy understand that they don't even worth to be in the squad itself. Its only a week ago Nehra bowled 6 overs conceding 61 runs. Munaf, nothing to tell about his performance. All we can see for the last two years is number of injuries he had is more than the wickets he took. Its not the old scenario where we had only a handful of international players from which the selection should be done. After the introduction of IPL, lots of young talented players came into the frame. But these two are selected. Someone might say this is a big tournament and that need experienced players. Then just check the spinners. Along with Harbhajan, Ashwin and Piyush Chawla made into the squad. Just see how much ODI Ashwin had played yet. His performance is promising, but it seams the experience criteria shown in the section of seamers is not applicable here. Chawla is out of the Indian squad for a long time. Also he didn't had any recent eye catching performance.Yet he is in the squad.
Comments from all the veterans are flowing in about the team selection. Going for World Cup with one wicket keeper is to be noted. Is that mean Dhoni won't get injured at any situation? Or he can play and win the cup for us, how severe be his injury? Earlier Dravid was an option. Now what will happen, no one knows. Yesterday after announcing the team Dhoni mentioned this team selection is based on the performance for the last one and a half years. Did he mean the performance on the ground or to him? Seeing the squad it's clear that its the players performance towards their 'great captain'. There is no place for those who are not the favorite list of Dhoni, doesn't matter how good the perform in the field. Dhoni's wicket keeping is getting worse day by day. that may be the reason he's not allowing others not even to be in the squad. Now the Fans of Men in Blues can do only one thing. Just pray. It seams this damn politics in cricket will destory the chance of winning that cup in the favorable condition.

My Tribute to the King of Pop

Those who loved music, today morning it was really a shocking news......King of Pop.....Michael Jackson has left the world.....He passed away early this morning due to cardiac arrest at the age of 50.
He's the first African-American to come into the music world in the early 80's. His music tracks like 'thriller', 'smooth criminal', 'beat it', 'billie jeans' are still the favourites. He was the one who introduced dance steps like 'moonwalk' and 'robot' during his stage shows. He's one of the few artists to have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, his other achievements include multiple Guinness World Records including one for "Most Successful Entertainer of All Time",13 Grammy Awards, 13 number one singles in his solo career and the sales of over 750 million albums worldwide.

Dhoni - Blessing or Curse

Is M.S.Dhoni a blessing or curse for Indian Cricket???

Two years ago i would had said its a blessing of the God for Indian cricket to have a batsman-wicket keeper. His brilliant inning of 183 against Sri Lanka made him a gem of the team. Those days i wonder how this player who had only one kind of shot for every delivery conquered the mind of millions. Taking his captain record, till now its really fabulous. Having an unbeatable test record as captain with 5 out of 7 wins, thats really great. But do u think he's receive a lot more publicity than he actually deserve.
Last night innings force me to publish this post today as soon as possible, even though i was going to publish this after India comes home without making the semis.11 of 23 scored in a T20 can't be justified at all. I do agree with the fact every one going through the circle of form and this may be his bad days of form. But the most thing you must notice that he's the one who made such a big issue against those who were out of form which lead to roll the heads of senior players like Dada and Dravid. He also played tricks against Sachin, Viru and Yuvi too, but they were able to rose up to the level before being chopped off. If you check its clear that out of the 5 test victories these senior players had played a match winning performance. In fact his first victory was on behalf of the brilliant century by Dada, whom he targeted the most. I'm not going to analyze the ODI and T20 stats as Tests are still considered as the original cricket.
He's a selfish captain. If you won't agree with me, then please just check out the group stage matches, I'm not going to talk about the older ones now. What was the reason he could lay forward in promoting himself to no.3 position against the weak Bangladesh and Ireland. It was Raina to be played at that position and get used with the pitches of England and he failed to find his flow against West Indies due to the lack of exposure to the condition out there. If Dhoni had played a brilliant innings in those matches,it was okay. but he scored with strike rate less than 100. In those games, opening pair did their job,so there lays an excuse to escape. But what about last match? Did he played a captains knock when needed? It was all mistakes one after the other coming out of his hand. And did you heard what he told at the post-match presentation? His wicket was lost at the crucial time. It was a bit of luck we had last night that he got out on the 23rd ball or else 153 would be much far to be achieved.
A captain is the one who must lead the team as a model. But taking consideration of Padma award issue, no one will ever like or even think of keeping him as a one to be followed. When the nation respect him with an award, instead of receiving it with honor, he went for ad shooting showing his real intention, his greediness towards money. Imagine what would happen if youngsters follow this path. Then everything would be doomed. Lets check out what reason would he be telling for not making into the semis (if no miracle happens). I could guarantee you that even though the tight schedule of IPL had some side effect on the team, he won't be blaming it at all, not even when mentioning about Viru's injury, as the money Dhoni got will be more sweeter than T20 World Cup. Hope something better would happen to Indian cricket in the future.

IPL 2009

59 matches, 40 days of excitement and lots more... thats was IPL 2009. Even though it was shifted to South Africa due to our election, each and every match was exciting. Lots of stuff was there in it. The first super over, 3 hat-tricks, maiden century by an indian batsman and the roar of those legends in this new format of cricket where most expect the domination of young blood. Unlike from the flat pitches in India , both batsmen  and bowlers had equal role to play in this. In the league stages each team except knight riders show neck to neck performance and that went to the last match of the league stage to deicide who the semi -finalists are. And in the end, proving the statement "Any thing can happen in the game of cricket ",Deccan Chargers lift the IPL 2009 in glory. No one would have expected the last team of IPL 2008 will lift the trophy in 2009. Thanks  to Gilly 4 his excellent leadership and commitment towards cricket. Telling about the commitment, our spin legend Anil Kumble must be mentioned. Due to his leadership Royal Challengers rose up like a phoenix from the bottom of the table, not of last years but during the half way point of this year.

Now let me bring some fact to your notice. From the last 2 IPL seasons, there evolves some common facts. I think the team reaching semi-final with a player holding orange cap won't be able to make to the finals. Last year it was Shaun Marsh of Kings XI, then this year it's Mattew Hayden of Super Kings. If having orange cap is a bad omen then it's the reverse for having the purple cap. They not only reach the finals but also lift the trophy. Sohail Tanveer of Rajasthan was the purple cap holder for IPL 2008 and R P Singh of Deccan Chargers in IPL 2009.

Lets see what happens with these two facts in the next season of IPL. There are two more facts, the team with a Australian captain and the team winning the first semi-finals win the championship. Well these two facts i don't want to be mentioned in detail as i think it was just mere coincidence. Hope the other two also be some kind of coincidence. Will wait and see in next season.
